Privacy Policy
The short version. There is no account. Card scans are read on your phone and the photo never leaves it. Your collection, your Berries, your Gold and your simulator binder are stored on your phone. Network traffic is downloading price data, card images and the app's settings file, a small anonymous usage count (see Usage count below) and a card report if you choose to send one (see Reporting a card below).
Who we are
OP Card Price is built and operated by an independent developer based in Malaysia. Contact for anything in this policy is opcardprice@boostmarketing.my.
Camera and photos
The app asks for camera access to read the card number printed on a card. Recognition runs entirely on your device, using Apple's Vision framework on iOS and Google's ML Kit on-device text recognition on Android. Frames from the camera and photos you pick from your library are processed in memory and are not uploaded, not saved by the app, and not shared with anyone.
What stays on your phone
- The cards you add to your collection, quantities, and the prices at the time you added them.
- Cached price tables and card images so the app works quickly offline.
- App preferences, reminder settings, and whether Pro is active.
- Packs, the pack opening simulator. Your Berries balance, Gold, Bounties progress, Pack Points, free pack timers and the cards in your simulator binder. None of this is sent to us, so we cannot see it, restore it or move it to another phone.
Settings has a "Delete all local data" action. It removes your collection, recent scans and preferences. It does not remove Berries, Gold or your simulator binder, so Berries you paid for are not lost by accident. Uninstalling the app, or clearing the app's data in your phone's settings, removes everything, Berries included, and we cannot restore it.
What leaves your phone
Price data. The app downloads card data and prices from our own data server on Cloudflare (opcardprice-data.pages.dev). English card prices come from public TCGplayer market data, Japanese card prices from the listed shop prices of Yuyu-tei, and the Japanese card list from the official card game site. The app also downloads a small settings file from the same server that says whether Packs and the Berry shop are switched on and whether a promotion is running. Card images are loaded from TCGplayer's image servers, static.dotgg.gg and the official card game site. As with any download, those servers can see your IP address and standard request headers. The app does not send them any identifier, your collection, or anything you typed.
Usage count. When certain things happen in the app, it sends one small message to our server on Cloudflare. The message holds a random install identifier created by the app, the name of the event, a short detail code for some events, the platform, the app version and the app language. Cloudflare adds the country the request came from, which we keep with the message. We do not keep your IP address.
The events are opening the app (and the first time it opens), a scan that recognises a card, viewing the Pro screen, starting and finishing a purchase, and these Packs events, opening a pack, opening a box of packs, viewing the Berry shop or an offer, redeeming Pack Points, tapping a card after a pack, replaying or saving a clip of a pack, sharing a pack or a Daily Pack, opening a Daily Pack or a Wonder Pick, and turning the free pack reminder on or off.
The detail code is a short label such as the set code of a pack (for example op13), the Berry bundle or plan you picked, where you opened the shop from, the rarity group of the best card in a shared pack, or on and off for the reminder. It never holds a name, an email address, a card you own, or anything you typed.
We use these messages only to count daily users, installs, purchases and how the features are used, so we can fix and improve the app. They hold no name, email, precise location, advertising identifier, photo or collection, are not linked to your identity, are not shared with anyone, are not used for advertising or tracking, and are kept for up to three months.
Reporting a card. If you tap "Report a card problem" and press Send, the app sends one message to our server on Cloudflare with the card number you were looking at, the set and card name the app showed, the price it showed, the reason you picked, the note you typed, the same random install identifier as the usage count, the platform, the app version and the app language. Cloudflare also records the country the request came from. We read these reports to add missing cards and fix wrong prices, keep them for up to three months, and do not share them with anyone. Please do not type personal details into the note, it is only for describing the card. Nothing is sent unless you press Send. If the message cannot reach our server, the app falls back to opening your own email app with a prefilled message, which again sends nothing until you press send.
Purchases. Pro and Berries are sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play. They handle payment and send the app a receipt, and the app adds your Pro access or Berries on your phone. Berries are used up when you open packs. We never see your card details and we do not run a server for purchases. The usage count above records that a purchase started or finished and which plan or Berry bundle it was, never the payment details.
Reminders. Reminders, such as free packs being ready, are scheduled on your phone after you turn them on. They are not sent through a push server, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time.
Links you open and share. Tapping a link to a store page, or the shop link under a Japanese price, opens it in a browser view, which is then covered by that site's policy. When you share a pack, the link holds the set and the card numbers of that pack so the page can show those cards. It holds no identifier of you or your phone.
The website onepiececardprices.com
The website has no account, no advertising and no third-party analytics, and it sets no cookies. It remembers your theme choice, whether you closed the app banner, and the day you last opened a simulated pack on the site, in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device.
The pages for shared packs, the Daily Pack and set pack values send one small message to our server on Cloudflare when a shared pack page is shown, when you pick a card, when you open a simulated pack and when you tap the Google Play button. It holds the event name, the set code or the link's campaign label, your browser language, and a random number made for that one page view that is not stored on your device. Cloudflare adds the country, which we keep with the message for up to three months. It cannot be used to follow you from page to page or from day to day.
Invites in older versions
Versions 1.1.0 to 1.1.5 had an invite feature that sent a random identifier and a 6-character invite code to our server to count successful invites. The feature has been removed from the app. To have an old identifier and code deleted, email opcardprice@boostmarketing.my.
What the app does not contain
- No third-party analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK. The usage count and card reports above are our own and anonymous.
- No account, no login, no cloud copy of your collection or your Packs.
- No access to contacts, location, or other apps.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The only things our server holds are the anonymous usage count, the card reports and old invite identifiers described above, and none of them is linked to a person.
Your rights
Nothing on our server identifies you, it holds only the anonymous usage count, the card reports and old invite identifiers described above. Everything else is on your phone. To have the data tied to your install identifier deleted, email us. If you have questions under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or similar laws, email us and we will answer within 30 days.
Trademarks and card images
OP Card Price is an independent fan tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Bandai, Shueisha, Toei Animation, or TCGplayer. Card names, artwork and logos belong to their respective owners. They appear in the app to identify and price cards and to show cards in the Packs simulator.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will show a notice and this page will carry a new effective date.
